Day 2 of our adventure together!

Ahhh...as island people Spam is the Breakfast of Champions! Loco Moco in HI consists of Spam, Egg, Rice, and some yummy gravy to boot! Filipino Style is the same w/o gravy. You can also find the Spam w/ egg combination at most establishments such as McD's in Hawaii. Then there's the other Hawaiian style which is seaweed rolled up w/ a rice and a small piece of spam to make a bite sized yummi spam treat. As the locals say: Ono dat one!

It's always a great idea to start the day w/ some protein. A healthy breakfast is the way to go!

Breakfast on the go as we run to the bank to make a deposit through the drive through. I like this particular bank because they have a tv screen right there when you pull up! You can see the person who takes your deposit and you can watch a news show while you wait! Laura is such a goof, but is enjoying the small wait with me!

All that banking and running around can sure work up an appetite! So, one quick stop to Tropical Smoothie. Hey, Laura, it's kind of like being in the islands, huh?

Woohoo!! Laura went for a ride in a shopping cart! You can't beat $18.00 for a memory card, esp when it's 2GBs!! Never pay full price for anything.

Oh this looks familiar! Back to the enormous stack of paperwork and envelope stuffing! We have to work off that Spam and Smoothie somehow!

Laura, Horton, and Fox in Sox. New friends that like to play. But Horton heard a Who and Fox in Sox went to find a box, so they bid their new friend good-day!

What an adventurous day. No sitting still for too long for us two, that's for sure!

It's always a good idea to fuel up the truck before the next day so we wake up all ready to go on our brand new adventures!

Day 1 of running around w/ Chary

Laura had a wonderful adventure in Hawaii a few years ago. She went for a visit with "Uncle Chris" (Who is more like a tropical fruit than a veggie..) to tour Oahu for a school project. She missed out on a visit a couple of years ago to go back to Hawaii as well as being passed up one more time very recently. She felt a little put out, so we decided, that from now on, Laura would not be left out of any adventures again!

On her first day out with me we hit the streets in search of..an adventure really!
Everyday is one!

After a wonderful ride in the truck, Laura sat with me as I began my work...

After..ahem... working..we dove right into a pile of papers!

Whew!! Laura and I were pretty tired after stuffing at least 50 envelopes (it HAD to be more than that..it seemed endless!) and addressing all of the envelopes by hand (not to mention signing all the preprinted letters...). It was time for an energy boost! So, we broke for lunch...

Chary's special Tuna sandwich on wheat bread. Yummm...After lunch, we went right back to stuffing envelopes again! Laura enjoyed hanging out and was looking forward to doing it again the next day!
